FLOW TOWN CUSTOM SURFBOARDS

When I was 13 years old,my friends dad Bob Severy took me out surfing for my first time. My whole life changed after that. We all know that feeling, experience, high, therapeutic moment and that’s why we love it and live it. I immediately bought my first board. A 9’2” single fin shaped by a North Shore and local legend Cort Gion. Little did I know that 13 years later he would become family and teach me everything I know about surfing and crafting a surfboard from start to finish. After spending my early 20s surfing every break I could get to on the west coast of the US, I decided to spend most of a year backpacking and surfing through out The South Pacific. I learned so much about different waves and the boards surfers used. My love for surfing grew and I knew that I wanted to keep evolving with it. Once I returned back home, fate had its way and I was blessed with a beautiful family. Cort taught me not just how to shape and glass a surfboard but how to craft and design a board that is going to excel and perform for that surfer and wave in mind. The fundamentals of why a board works to the tricks and kept “secrets”. Every surfer is different, every wave is different and every board is different. Crafting a surfboard with that in mind will always make a beautiful ride.
